The LNT Master Educator Course for Aug 5-11, 2012 has been CANCELLED due to inadequate registration.
Participants should be registered Scouters at least age 18 by August 5, 2012, and should have completed an LNT Trainer course and have a working knowledge of the principles of Leave No Trace.
This course will combine training in teaching skills with practical application of LNT skills. Most of this course will take place at Camp Wolfeboro in a rustic front country camping experience, but will include a 2 ½ mile out hike up the Highland Creek Trail and an overnight stay at Greenwater to provide a back country experience as well.
Participants must have a current BSA health form (parts A, B, & C are downloadable from http://www.scouting.org/sitecore/content/Home/HealthandSafety/ahmr.aspx ) affirming their fitness for this week long camping experience at 5,500-6,000 feet elevation in a location more than 30 minutes from professional emergency medical care.
Each participant must also submit a signed LNT release form (available at http://donate.lnt.org/sites/default/files/CourseRelease.pdf ).
Each participant is responsible for his/her own camping gear and transportation to and from Camp Wolfeboro. All meals and training materials will be provided.
Cost is $300 through July 6th and $325 thereafter until the course is filled.
Organizers will be contacting each participant to arrange their teaching topic and to share information for possible carpooling among participants.
