Muir District Cub Scout Roundtable
Cub Scout Roundtable is held every first Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm at the LDS Church, 1590 Denkinger Road, Concord. We discuss the next month’s Program Helps theme and other informative topics. Questions about Cub Scout Roundtable may be directed to Jennifer Rupert at 827-1412.
Muir District Boy Scout Roundtable
As the new year unfolds, district Boy Scout Troops will be adding first year scouts along with their parents into their units. The Boy Scout Roundtable fills in the need to bring the new parents up to speed by discussing scouting issues in an open format where they can learn from the experts or have an open discussion with experience Scout leaders. Order of the Arrow News
Wek-Wek Apanuc has scheduled its meeting time and place to coincide with Muir District Roundtable, the first Thursday of each month, at 7:00 pm, at the LDS Church on Denkinger Road in Concord. For more information about Order of the Arrow, visit our website at http://WekWek.org.
Camporee
This year Camporee is April 24-26 2009 (The date has changed). Camporee will be at Camp Tamarancho in San Rafael (The venue has changed). Check out the camp at http://www.boyscouts-marin.org. The Theme is "Thrive to Survive", the events will be focused on wilderness survival. Bring a Blue Card since there could be Councilors there to sign off requirements for the Merit Badge.
The Camporee registration form, program and field events handbook are now available on the Muir website at www.muirdistrict.org. Guides for Webelos, Scouts, Adults and cooking are updated and posted on the website. Bring some Webelos with your Troop and recruit them into your unit! The O.A. will be there with their events and a O.A. call out at Campfire. Scoutmasters: sign your unit up for an event!
Attention all Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Committee Chairs and Outdoor Chairs we need your help. Are there Scouts or Scout Leaders in your unit that would like to be on staff? Our staff meetings will be on March 12, and April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kings Valley Christian School located at 4255 Clayton Road. Please include these dates in your schedule and come help us develop the best Camporee our Scouts have experienced. Contact Jay Sparks @ 925-300-6244 with any questions.

Join Muir Cub Scout Day Camp for a week that you will not soon forget. In the laboratory of Science Busters, you will experiment with arts and crafts, Scout skills, sports, pool, games, BB guns, archery, and so much more. If you want to earn the Outdoor activity Patch, attending Day Camp is a requirement. Meet other Cubs, experience the fun of camp, and earn patches all at the same time! Find out why arrows have feathers to shoot straight at the Archery Range. Find out the speed that BB's are shot to break a baloon at the BB Range. Discover what items sink the fastest at the Pool.
