If you are an adult Eagle Scout looking to sponsor an Eagle Scout , Silver Award or Quartermaster recipient, please go to the Las Aguilas de Diablo Dinner page.

Congratulations on reaching the highest rank of Scouting – Eagle Scout, Quartermaster or Silver Award! It is an achievement that will become increasingly meaningful to you as you go through life.  The positive experience of attaining your high achievement in Scouting will lead to many new adventures in the future.

The Mt. Diablo Silverado Council and Las Aguilas de Diablo wish to honor you at our annual Eagle Scout, Quartermaster, Silver Award Recognition Banquet to be held at the Saint Mary’s College Soda Center in Moraga, at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 28th, 2009.  The guest speaker this year is Eagle Scout Skip Yowell, co-founder of JanSport outdoor gear brand and world traveler.

This banquet is to honor our 2008 Eagle Scouts, Sea Scout Quartermasters and Venture Crew Silver Award recipients.  It is hosted by local Scouting business, professional and civic leaders.  You will have a specific host to act as your sponsor for the evening.  We will attempt to match your evening dinner sponsor to your area of career interest.  Please be aware that this is not just a dinner to honor you and your accomplishments, but to also begin your networking for future employers or mentors that could help you once your education is complete.  This entire evening is designed to not only congratulate you but to also help you prepare for your future endeavors.  Please mark and save this date on your calendar.

The attire for the evening will be full scout uniform.  If that is not possible, a coat and tie is appropriate.

Las Aguilas de Diablo is offering two $1,000 and one $1,200 college financial aid scholarships this year. These awards will be based on Scouting leadership, community participation, academic achievement and financial aid.  Please indicate on the enclosed registration form if you would like us to mail you a scholarship application. Scholarship applications are also available on-line at the Council website:  www.bsa-mdsc.org.  Please submit your request for an application as soon as possible.  We will announce the scholarship recipients at the Eagle Dinner

We are looking forward to sharing your accomplishments with other Eagle Scouts, Quartermasters and Silver Award recipients in our Council.  Congratulations again on your recent achievement of the Eagle Scout, Quartermaster or Silver Award!
