Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner
Each year, the Las Aguilas de Diablo put on a dinner to recognize those young men and women who have attained their Eagle Scout, Silver Award, or Quartermaster Awards. It takes a great deal of effort to achieve these impressive accomplishments. Eagle Scouts and Silver Award/Quartermaster Award recipients are matched up with a successful professional from the career field they plan to enter. These hosts will relay challenges, educational requirements and successes from their chosen career field or hobby. An inspirational guest speaker then shares with the audience while they are fed a fantastic meal prepared by St. Mary’s College.
During the dinner several college scholarships are awarded to worthy Eagle Scouts, Silver Award or Quartermaster Award recipients.
This years dinner is taking place on May 6th, 2009 at 6:30pm and Skip Yowell will be speaking. Skip helped build one of the most recognized brand names, JanSport, sponsoring climbing expeditions, outdoor programs and recreation in Bhutan, Kenya; Mt Everest; and other far off places.
