Camp Cards

The Mt. Diablo Silverado Council is pleased to announce a new Council-wide fundraiser…the 2013 Camp Card. The Camp Card is a discount card for local businesses.

The intent of the Camp Card sale is to allow Units to raise funds to pay for their Summer Scouting Program. This includes purchasing camping equipment such as tents, backpacks, and sleeping bags, and to send Scouts to Camp Wolfeboro or Cub Scout Day Camp.

This program is completely RISK FREE, because any unsold Camp Cards may be returned.

We have partnered with local retailers to provide useful and valuable discounts.

Camp Cards sell for $5 each. Units earn 50% commission, or $2.50 per card sold. The cards come in a promotional envelope with 10 cards in each envelope.

Camp Cards are ordered by the envelope, but individual Camp Cards can be returned.

Key Dates for the Sale

March 20, 2013 – Camp Card Kick-off at Council Office. Begin collecting commitments.
March 30, 2013 – Commitments (with card order) due to Council.
Mid April 2013 – Distribute Cards to Units at Roundtables. Sale Begins.
June 30, 2013 – Money and Cards due to Council.  (Note - Units keep commissions and only turn in unsold cards and money due to council).
June 30, 2013 - Top seller prize awarded.
