Blackhawk 500

The 6th Annual Mt. Diablo Silverado Pinewood Derby Championship is coming to the Blackhawk Auto Museum in Danville on April 12th, 2008! All Cubs from within the Council are invited to participate.

There will be racing, a design competition & great food. During the event the whole family can tour the Blackhawk Museum's magnificent auto collection and the fabulous exhibits. There will be tons of neat stuff to see and do! Wear your Scout uniform and get in free.

Mandatory car inspections and impounding will occur at the Council office from 7:00pm to 8:30pm on April 7th, 9th, and 10th. Event rules will be posted here when they become available.

Patch Design Contest

Cub Scouts, send us your original design for the 2008 Blackhawk 500 Pinewood Derby Patch! One design will be selected and used as the official patch for the upcoming Blackhawk 500*. The designer of the chosen patch will also receive free entry into the Blackhawk 500!

Rules & Guidelines:

1. All designs must be done on and fit within the 3" circle on the form.
2. All designs must include the wording "2008 Blackhawk 500" and "Mt. Diablo Silverado Council".
3. Limit of 1 design per boy.
4. All designs must be received by January 16, 2008.

* Necessary modifications will occur in order to convert the original design into a graphic image.
